Know the “Vibe” of Who You Are Hiring

You found your wedding photographer/videographer! Congratulations! Check that box off your list of things to do.

I’m sure you have spent a ton of time looking at examples of their work, imagining exactly how your wedding photos/video will turn out. I’m sure you did your due diligence and made sure they are dependable, reputable, and won’t be “here today and gone tomorrow”.

Something that I have discovered in my years of doing this…people don’t often consider how much time you will truly be spending with your photographer/videographer. On, at the very least, the day of your wedding, you are working one on one with them for an entire day. That’s a long time to spend with someone who doesn’t mesh well with you and your personality. I have seen vendors change the entire “vibe” of a wedding party…it can happen.

My request to you, make sure that you get along well with whomever you hire. Make sure they are not only a capable professional that can provide you with the images that you want, but that they will also be a fun part of your day.

And extra points to them if they know your song lyrics, movie quote references, and can help you with the dance steps to the “Hoe-Down Throwdown”
